Delete your account

Last updated August 30, 2026

You can delete your DrixWalls account at any time, from inside the Drix mobile app or by writing to us. This page explains both routes, what gets erased, and what we are required to keep.

Delete from the Drix app

If you can still sign in, this is the fastest route.

  1. 1. Open the Drix app and go to Settings.
  2. 2. Open Account.
  3. 3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account is closed immediately: it is deactivated, every signed-in device is signed out, and the account can no longer be used to sign in or recovered by you. Personal data is then erased on the schedule below.

Request deletion by email

Use this route if you cannot sign in, no longer have the app installed, or want us to confirm erasure in writing. Email support@drixwalls.com with the subject Account deletion request, and include the email address on the account.

Send it from that same address where possible. If you cannot, we will ask you for other details to verify the account belongs to you before we act — we will never delete an account on an unverified request.

What we erase

  • Account details: email address, display name, username, profile text, and profile images.
  • Library activity: saves, likes, collections, collection share links, and download history.
  • Preferences: notification settings and any registered device push tokens.
  • Sessions: all refresh tokens, so every signed-in device and browser is signed out.

What we keep, and for how long

A small amount of data survives deletion because law or platform security requires it. None of it is used to rebuild your profile or to contact you.

Security and abuse logs
Up to 12 months, in a form limited to what is needed to investigate fraud, abuse, and account-takeover attempts.
Billing and tax records
As long as tax and accounting law requires, if you ever held a paid subscription. Payment details are held by Stripe, not by Drix.
Encrypted backups
Until the backup rotates out of retention, normally within 30 days. Backups are not used to restore a deleted account.
Wallpapers you published
Images you submitted that were approved into the public catalogue stay available under the license shown at the time, but are no longer attributed to your account. Ask us in your request if you want a published upload taken down as well.

How long it takes

Your account is closed the moment you confirm in the app, or as soon as we verify an email request. Personal data is erased from live systems within 30 days, and disappears from encrypted backups as those backups rotate out, normally within a further 30 days. Deletion is permanent — we cannot restore an account or its collections afterwards, so export anything you want to keep first.
